FAQ

What is a studio session like?
Portrait sessions at WM Studio are designed to feel relaxing and unhurried. With focus on natural light, thoughtful styling, and simple backdrops, the goal is to create portraits that feel timeless while allowing personality and connection to shine through.
What should we wear for our family session?
Natural tones and simple textures photograph beautifully in the studio. I'm happy to offer wardrobe guidance and styling suggestions ahead of your session.
What if my child doesn't cooperate?
Children are wonderfully unpredictable, and that's completely okay. Sessions are designed to be relaxed and flexible so I can meet them where they are and allow natural expressions and moments to unfold.
Do you help with posing?
Yes. I provide gentle direction throughout the session, so everything feels natural and relaxed while still creating elegant, flattering portraits.
When is the best time to schedule a maternity session?
Most maternity sessions take place between 28 and 34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully visible but you're still comfortable moving through the session.
What should I wear for my motherhood session?
Clients have access to the WM Studio wardrobe, which includes a curated collection of gowns designed to photograph beautifully. You're welcome to bring your own pieces as well, and I'll guide you in choosing something that compliments the overall look of the session.
What is the best age for newborn portraits?
Newborn sessions typically take place within the first 10-20 days after birth, when babies are still very sleepy and naturally curl into those classic newborn poses.
What do I need to bring to my newborn session?
WM Studio provides a carefully curated collection of wraps, blankets, and newborn pieces. Parents typically just bring baby, diaper bag with feeding supply and anything meaningful they may want included.
